Frequently asked questions
What's in the cardio accessories category?
Everything that supports cardio training beyond the machines themselves: smartwatches and fitness trackers, blood pressure and heart rate monitors, cardio equipment upgrades and add-ons, golf training devices, gym bags, and water bottles.
Which accessories actually improve training results?
Two categories give the biggest real-world training benefit: heart rate monitors (let you train in the right intensity zones instead of guessing) and good hydration (high-quality water bottles that you'll actually carry). Smartwatches and fitness trackers help with consistency through tracking. Everything else is convenience or preference.
Do I need all this to train effectively?
No — consistent training is what drives results, and nearly any accessory is a "nice to have" rather than a requirement. That said, a simple heart rate monitor under $80 provides real training data that steering by feel alone can't match. Everything else (bags, water bottles, upgrades) is about comfort and consistency.
Which cardio accessories work with my existing treadmill, bike, or rower?
Protective mats are universal; heart-rate straps and watches connect to compatible devices via ANT+ and/or Bluetooth. Check each product’s compatibility to ensure it pairs with your console, app, or watch.
Do Garmin chest straps work with non-Garmin equipment?
Yes—if your equipment, app, or bike computer supports ANT+ and/or Bluetooth heart-rate profiles. Pairing is typically done from the equipment/app settings.
Do I really need a mat under my cardio machine?
A quality mat reduces vibration and noise, protects floors, and helps stabilize equipment—especially useful for upstairs rooms or shared spaces.
