1 · How We Process Payments Securely
My Fitness Outlet uses Shopify Payments and vetted third-party processors to accept major debit/credit cards and accelerated checkouts where available. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- PCI DSS Level 1: Transactions are handled by providers certified to the highest PCI level.
- TLS encryption: Our checkout uses modern TLS to protect data in transit.
- Tokenization: Sensitive card data is replaced with secure tokens for authorization and refunds.
2 · Independent Certifications & Audits
Shopify undergoes regular third-party security and compliance assessments (e.g., PCI DSS). We inherit these controls through the platform’s managed checkout and infrastructure.
3 · Real-Time Fraud Prevention
- Automated screening: Orders are evaluated for risk using fraud-analysis tools; suspicious orders may require manual review.
- Additional verification: When required by issuers or regulations, extra authentication (e.g., 3-D Secure) may apply.
- Dispute support: If you suspect unauthorized use, contact your card issuer and help@myfitnessoutlet.com; most issuers offer zero-liability protection. We’ll assist with documentation.
4 · Privacy & Data Protection
- Your rights: We honor requests to access or delete personal data in accordance with applicable law. Email help@myfitnessoutlet.com.
- No data reselling: We do not sell or lease your personal information.
- Secure operations: Systems are regularly updated and monitored to help protect availability and integrity.
5 · Your Safety Net (Policies You Can Count On)
- Shipping: Free standard shipping on most U.S. orders. Upgraded Threshold/White Glove delivery may cost extra. Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico) may have added charges and/or longer transit times.
- Returns: 30 days from delivery (new only: unopened in original packaging / never used). Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. A 10% restocking fee applies. No exchanges.
- Support: Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm PST via phone, email, and live chat (when available).
6 · Crypto Payments (USDC on Base)
Where available through Shopify Payments, customers may be able to pay with USDC (a USD-pegged stablecoin) on the Base network using a supported crypto wallet. Availability and features can vary by region and Shopify eligibility.
- Network requirement: Customers must have USDC on Base to complete checkout.
- Operational differences: USDC payments may not support subscriptions, partial captures, post-purchase upsells, or disputes/chargebacks like card payments.
- Refunds: If a refund is approved, it’s processed through Shopify Payments according to the payment method used and applicable rules.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you store my credit-card information?
No. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and its PCI-compliant processors using tokenization. My Fitness Outlet does not store full card numbers on our servers.
What if my card is charged fraudulently?
Contact your card issuer immediately and email us at help@myfitnessoutlet.com. We’ll help with documentation for your bank. Most issuers provide zero-liability protection for unauthorized charges.
Can I check out without saving details?
Yes. You can use guest checkout or an accelerated option (where available) to minimize manual entry.
